Innovative research and development is crucial to the pursuit of improved Indigenous student outcomes. Action Research and meaningful engagement with academic processes are a useful way to inform quality leadership and stimulate informed engagement about Indigenous education and development. The Institute will develop and engage a range of dynamic research projects and will use them not only for the development of individuals, but for the continued development of Institute content.
The Institute will develop deep and innovative research and development programs that challenge the status quo of past attitudes to Indigenous learning. In its pursuit of high quality research and development programs the Institute will utilise the High Achieving Principals’ Network and associated Schools of Excellence. The Institute will also encourage, support and supervise, participants of its leadership programs, to engage in Action Research projects that are focused on stronger, smarter educational outcomes for Indigenous children.
